About us

La Datcha Bed & Breakfast was previously known as Big Boys Guesthouse which has been welcoming guests since 2003. The present owners, Raul and Mikhail have acquired the business in June 2009 and have continued the well-known tradition of hospitality of this Montreal B&B.

Both Raul and Mikhail have followed the steps of many new settlers to Quebec. Raul comes from Chile and has been living in Montreal since 1997. He currently works as a nurse. Mikhail comes from Russia and has moved to Montreal in 2001. He worked for travel industry for many years (Air France among others) and has become self-employed to operate the B&B. Happy couple for several years now, Raul and Mikhail have traveled to different corners of the world, and they know well every little need of a traveller arriving in a foreign city. That is why guests at La Datcha will feel well taken care of and at home.

In September 2009 a new addition to the household arrived - Nick, our standard schnauzer. Very friendly yet well-educated, Nick has put smiles on faces of our many guests ever since his arrival.
